Metal-free restorations
Metal-free restorations can be prepared with very high aesthetic demands, and this type of prostheses has all the benefits you want. Overall, we can say that as it doesn’t contain metal, it’s non-allergenic, there is a very rare inflammation chance next to the restorations. It’s fully tooth coloured, and the metallic edging will not be shown along the gums. Easy to repair if accidentally bounces off the porcelain. Exactly fit thanks to precise dental CAD / CAM technology. Preparation does not require extra time or attention.
Zirconia framed porcelain restorations
The zirconia framed ceramic restorations are prepared for “shoulder pre-prepared” teeth. It can be made for a single one tooth crown or even for more teeth as bridge, or if it’s required even more bridges. Thanks to perfect tooth-coloured and light permeability similar to natural teeth. It does not contain metal, therefore we can recommend it to patients suffering from allergies as well. Furthermore the metallic strip won’t appear later along the gums, there isn’t metallic taste in the mouth of the wearer. It does not conduct any electricity, or heat, so there is no any discomfort to pay attention during eating. In a computer-controlled process (CAD / CAM technology) produces a perfectly fit proper zirconia frames without any human touches, and then professional ceramics are responsible to find the appropriate shape and colours porcelain veneering material for the frame. The service life of it as long as conventional fixed restorations. Regarding the above this is a fantastic opportunity to get back the original and natural smile.
Press ceramic restorations
Aesthetically it is considered the ideal type of prosthesis, because it’s light transmittance and the anatomical design of it is exactly the same as that of teeth. Aluminium oxide strips is layered upon each other by compressing it into the appropriate anatomical and aesthetic shape. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for larger bridge structures preparation, because there is no frame, which means it’s a fragile substance. It’s not recommended in case of small teeth, deep bite or heavily loaded teeth (tightness/squeeze, grinding). It’s only recommended to prepare in case of front teeth, when the teeth crowns are alone, but with this it can gain the most beautiful results.
Ceramic Veneers
This procedure is also used only in the front region. The great advantage of it is that is not necessary to polish the whole tooth off, furthermore it’s enough to prepare only the front and the edge part, which obtains the veneer which is as thick as a contact lens. This is an extremely popular method by which we can perfectly aesthetically restore the teeth with only a small tooth loss.
This is typically used in case of:
- strongly discoloured teeth, and in case there is no any other method which can be used to make it whiter
- a low degree of axis correction is required, but you do not want orthodontics
- closing the gaps
- shape correction
- cover the enamel defects
- damaged incisor restoration is needed
For large fillings it is not recommended, we rather suggest the use of the direct composite veneers which are made locally at the clinic or the pressed ceramics and zirconia crown restorations. The production process is similar to the crown one. In the initial phase, photos and prints are taken. It may occur that during a further meetings the dental technician prepares a so-called wax-up or mock-up, which will serve as a demonstration of the final appearance. Under local anaesthesia, there will be minimal sanding material loss and will be created in relation to the thickness of the veneer. Then, an imprint is taken of both bones, the right colour is selected and all questions related to the final aesthetic veneers can be discussed. Then, in a subsequent meeting if the results are appropriate for all parties, final veneers will be glued on.
Temporary restorations
It is important to note that you never leave our office without protection on your polished teeth. The temporary prosthesis are necessary to prepare in most cases, because the polished, live teeth are extremely sensitive to external stimulation (heat, salty, sweet, touching stimuli), and therefore their protection acrylic (plastic) provides the temporary replacement. We use this for root canal treated teeth as well, firstly for aesthetic reasons and secondly cause thus it’s protecting the teeth from damage and migration. Generally, the temporary replacement is required only until the final one is done, in this case locally in the clinic it’s enough to create the temporary prosthesis based on the original template tooth. In some cases, for example when biting increase carried out in order to reduce the load on the joints, you may need long-term, up to 3-6 months to bear the temporary prosthesis. In this case, it’s recommended to be prepared a more durable temporary replacement by the dental laboratory. The preparation of it takes 24-72 hours.
Be Aware! The temporary restoration is not substitute the permanent tooth replacements, in case it was made locally, up to 6-8 weeks is the maximum the time of wearing. The temporary plastic dental prosthesis is wearable up to 3-6 months. The clinic does not assume any responsibility or warranty in case of any damage and discoloration occurs on the temporary replacements, or on the teeth and gum, etc…
